Harrogate hoard featured in Archaeology magazine

300,000 artefacts recorded on the database

Today is quite momentous for the Portable Antiquities Scheme. Charlotte Burrill, Finds Liaison Officer for Berkshire & Oxfordshire recorded the 300,000th object onto the Scheme’s database. British Museum website domain change

Just a heads up for some readers. The British Museum website has changed to better represent the Museum as a museum of the world, with the use of .org being more familiar to a global audience. Coupled with the shorter address (dropping the redundant ‘the’) the new address would be easier to promote, and recall. [...]
