I emailed the Treasure Department at the BM at the end of February to ask if they were able to tell me when the wee gold fragment was likely to go before the Treasure Valuation Committee - which is the next step in the journey through the Treasure Act.

My ever patient detecting partner Terry has shared in the excitement of my lucky treasure finds to date - and his patience paid off last Sunday when he uncovered a Bronze Age Pennannular Ring (sometimes called Ring Money)
It was great to see him literally dancing in the field !
