A copper alloy ansate brooch of Thörle (2001) Gruppe IIA 1c type, dating to the middle Saxon period. The brooch has a central arched bow, triangular in cross-section and undecorated, with a flat circular plate at either end. Both plates are decorated with an incised cross. One the reverse of one plate are two lugs for the pin, and on the reverse of the other is a catchplate. The pin is missing.
