A copper alloy post Medieval finger sealing ring ( signet ring) oval in shape with shoulders on either side the internal width being 17.90mm. The ring consists of a reverse engraved bezel bearing a lion rampant -facing right - which when used on wax produces the image facing left. The lion is within a border of either beads or, more probably, small roundals or bezants i.e. "bezantee". It is possible that there is a collar around the lion's neck.
