An incomplete copper-alloy mount in the form of a human head, dating to the Roman period. The mount has an incomplete flat rectangular shank broken at a rivet hole. The complete end turns upwards and forms the neck and head of the figure. The head has large pointed oval eyes and a small moulded nose. The mouth is shown by a large pointed oval perimeter. The face is long and thin, and the figure's hair is straight, depicted by incised or moulded lines. The hair is straight across the fringe and extends down the head to just below the mouth. The base of the hair flicks out. It is difficult to determine what gender the figure is supposed to represent.
The shank is angled from the neck at approximately 45 degrees.
