Short profile:

Rob completed his BA in Anthropology at the State University of New York at Geneseo. Having grown tired of excavating flints chips, Rob emigrated to England to complete a Masters in Medieval Archaeology at the University of York to further his knowledge of sub-Roman Britain. He stayed at York to undertake a PhD. investigating the late Roman and Early Medieval archaeology of Hadrian\'s Wall upon discovering that beer is better in the UK. Since moving to England, Rob has participated in various archaeological projects across the UK and worked as a Demonstrating Archaeologist at the former Archaeological Resource Centre (now called The D.I.G.). Despite the great cultural divide (and a brief stint living in Norfolk), Rob has come to appreciate Britain in all its glory. He is currently learning to speak Geordie.
